Gerrit Rietveld Pair of ZigZag Chairs 1970s
Iconic pair of ZigZag chairs designed by the great architect and furniture maker Gerrit Rietveld in 1932.
Originally he designed the chair for the Rietveld Schroder house in Utrecht.
This pair was made by a cabinet maker according the original drawings in the 1970s. The chairs are well made and executed in elm wood.
Very important chair in modern design history.
The chairs are in good condition. About 15 years ago they were refinished and glued between the seating and the backrest by the former owner. A little bit of glue is still visible (see pictures).
