Wim den Boon pair of BN-1 chairs de toekomst 1948

Rare pair of BN-1 chairs, designed by Wim den Boon in 1948 and manufactured by De Toekomst, Netherlands.
This model was in production for only four years and therefore very hard to find.
Wim den Boon formed together with Hein Stolle and Pierre Kleykamp the design collective Groep&. Their aim was to make simple and pure furniture and they were the forerunners in the development of Dutch Midcentury Design.
The chairs have a plywood seat and backrest and are made of birch.
The chairs are in good original condition with traces of use, mainly on the seats.

Price € 1250,- for the pair
