CEES BRAAKMAN SET OF 4 DINING CHAIRS SB37 PASTOE 1950s

Very rare set of 4 SB37 dining Chairs designed by Cees Braakman in the 1950s for Pastoe.
The chairs are newly upholstered with a light blue Kvadrat Steelcut Trio (90% wool, 10% nylon) fabric, which is a nice combination with the teak wood. Also the foam is renewed.
These chairs are clearly inspired Charles and Ray Eames LCW chairs. Cees Braakman visited the US after word war II and learned about the plywood techniques at the Herman Miller factory.
The beautiful frames are made of birch plywood with teak veneer.
Fantastic and very hard to find set of chairs. In my opinion much nicer as the more common SB02 chair.
The chairs are in excellent condition. A few screws underneath the seats are not original.
