MARTIN VISSER SLEEPER SOFA 1st EDITION 'T SPECTRUM 1958

Very rare 1st edition sleeper sofa designed by Martin Visser in 1958 for 't Spectrum.
The sofa is newly reupholstered with a De Ploeg black or anthacite/ light grey wool fabric, also the foam is renewed.
The sofa features a unique chain mechanism that converts the sofa into a sleeping bed with a simple flip of the backrest. Unfortunately the chain is not working perfectly when flipping the backrest back to normal (picture 11), you have to help a little by pushing the seat downwards. Nothing to be worried about.
It has a black metal frame.
Very nice minimalistic and clean design.
Besides this little imperfection the sofa is in excellent condition.
