Koene Oberman Lounge Chair Gelderland 1950s
Very rare lounge chair designed by Koene Oberman in the 1950s for Gelderland.
Koene Oberman was also the founder of Gelderland. In the 1950s he set the company in a modern direction. Himself he designed only a couple of pieces for a short period of time. After that he attracted other designers, like Rob Parry, to work for Gelderland.
This lounge chair must be one of the rarest he designed, I've never come across this one before.
It has a grey bar steel frame and still has the original fantastic wool fabric. The fabric is in olive green/brown with dots of yellow, orange and green in it.
Very heavy chair, high quality made.
Beautiful chair and comfortable as well.
The chair is in good used condition. The fabric as well as the frame have some traces of wear as you can see on the pictures.
