Gae Aulenti Early Pipistrello Martinelli Luce 1965
Early Pipistrello Table lamp designed by Gae Aulenti in 1965 for Martinelli Luce Italy. A true design icon in the history of lighting. The black steel base supports a telescopic neck and a four-sided white plastic diffuser. As the height is adjustable the lamp can be used as a table lamp as well as a floor lamp. It uses 4 E12 bulbs.. Very impressive lamp that's still doing the job nowadays. We acquired the lamp from the first owner who bought the lamp around 1970. These early editions are very hard to get. The lamp is marked. The lamp is in good original condition. Some traces of use on the black base including a tiny dent. The shade has some normal traces of wear due to time and usage.
