Martine Bedin Super Lamp Memphis Milano 1981
Iconic 'Super' Lamp designed by Martine Bedin in 1981 for Memphis Milano.
Martine Bedin was an industial designer, artist and architect and was one of the co-founders of the Memphis Group.
With its multi-coloured toy shape, the Super lamp belongs to the “classics” of the 80’s avant-garde movement. Produced as part of the group's first exhibition, the Super Lamp was described by the designer as "like a small dog that I could carry with me".
Highly collectible item and included in major museum collections worldwide.
This wonderfully playful design consists of a domed blue fiberglass body with 6 differently colored metal lamp holders and rubber wheels. It uses E14 bulbs, which are not included.
It is marked at the bottom side with the original Memphis label.
The lamp is in excellent condition, as new.
