WIM RIETVELD PANAMA WALL LAMP GISPEN 1955

Classic Panama wall lamp, model 4050, designed by Wim Rietveld (son of Gerrit Rietveld) in 1955 for Gispen.
Arguably the best design he ever did, no doubt an iconic Dutch design piece!
The lamp is adjusted in every wanted position using the red key/spanner that's on the black metal wall plate, there's 3 hinges to do so. It has grey metal arms and the original colored yellow aluminium 'Panama' shade. The white polyester diffuser is a new replica, the original one is almost always missing as it was very vulnerable.
It is checked and in good working order.
The lamp is in very good condition. The shade is still perfect, only little traces of use on the metal arms.
