Hilbert Boxem Abstract Stoneware Sculpture 1977
Large abstract stoneware sculpture made by the artist Hilbert Boxem (1939-2001) in 1977 in his own atelier in Landsmeer, Netherlands.
It has his signature and the year at the bottom side.
Intriguing and unique sculpture by the Dutch ceramist who produced many abstract shapes. His works have no utilitarian function and are often variations on simple basic forms. He made little use of bright colors and concentrated on earthy pigments.
A smaller version in the same style is part of the collection of the Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen in Rotterdam.
This artwork is in excellent condition. No chips, just perfect.
