Friso Kramer Pair of 'TH Delft' Revolt Chairs Ahrend de Cirkel 1953
Very rare pair of Revolt 'TH Delft' chairs deigned by Friso Kramer in 1953 for Ahrend de Cirkel. This color combination with white seat and black backrest were only made for the Technical University in Delft and therefore true collector items. Marked with the original Ahrend de Cirkel label and with the metal TH Delft tag. These chairs come from the very first production (1958) that started in 1958 when the TH Delft commissioned Friso Kramer and Ahrend de Cirkel to decorate their new interior. Not many of these were produced and much less survived. Classic Dutch industrial design. They have a white ciranol seat, black ciranol backrest and a grey u-profile steel frame. The chairs are in excellent condition. Minimal traces of use. The screws on the seats are replaced.
