Mart Stam Set of 4 S33 Dining Chairs Thonet 1927/1980s
Set of 4 model S33 dining chairs, designed by Mart Stam in 1927. This set is manufactured by Thonet in the 1980s.
This chair is one of the earliest, if not the earliest, tubular cantilever chairs in furniture history. Originally it was designed for the Weissenhofsiedlung in Stuttgart, Germany.
Classic Bauhaus design.
They have a chrome plated tubular steel frame and black leather seat and backrest.
Very comfortable seating.
The chairs are in good original condition with some traces of use. The frames are excellent. The leather, especially on the front side of the seats, has some wear as visible in the photos.
