Mies van der Rohe Set of 4 MR10 Chairs Gavina 1927/1970s
Set of 4 MR10 chairs designed by Mies van der Rohe in 1927 at the Bauhaus in Germany.
This particular set comes from an Italian household full of design furniture. The chairs are made in the 1970s and are produced by Gavina (attributed). The chairs are not marked. Besides that the previous owner told us the chairs are by Gavina, we can identify them by their product quality and the details like the lacing and the little welded hook that prevents the leather backrest from sliding down.
The chairs have a chromed metal tubular frame and brown leather seats and backrests, attached by laces underneath the seats and behind the backrests.
Beautiful chairs, a timeless icon of 20th-century modernism.
The chairs are in good original vintage condition with traces of wear due to time and usage. The leather has some wear, especially at the sides of the seats. 1 chair has some loss of chrome at the top of the frame, as visible in the last photo.
