Ate van Apeldoorn Lounge Chair Houtwerk Hattem 1960s

Rare lounge chair designed by Ate van Apeldoorn and manufactured in his own workshop Houtwerk Hattem 1960s.
The chair is made of solid pine and features nice finger joint connections, characteristic for his designs.
The cushion is newly upholstered with a cream wool fabric by De Ploeg. Perhaps the chair looks nicer without the cushion, but for sure it is more comfortable.
Very honest and pure design. As with all his designs the chair clearly shows his attention to detail and craftsmenship.
The chair is in good condition. Some wear on the armrests.
