Very rare pair of lounge chairs, model 568, designed by Dirk van Sliedregt in 1954 for Gebr. Jonkers .
1 chair is marked with the original Gebr. Jonkers label.
These chairs are not offered a lot, especially not in a pair.
Fantastic chairs with a lovely U-shaped backrest. Very comfortable seating.
They have a black metal frame and rattan seat and backrest.
This model is also part of the collection of the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam.
The chairs are in very good condition. No damages on the rattan. Some normal wear (loss of paint) on the frames. Not all the screws are original anymore. Tiny bit of of orange paint of top of the backrest of 1 chair which is hardly visible, see the last picture.
