One of the most famous plywood lounge chairs designed by Gerald Summers in 1933 for his own company in London 'The Makers of Simple Furniture'. The original 1930s chairs are museum pieces and very expensive.
This is an official limited Italian re-edition from 1998 (only about 200 pieces were produced).
Iconic chair and important in design history.
It is made of single sheets of birch plywood, not a single screw or joint has been used.
The chair is in very good condition. 1 little feneer chip at the bottom of a leg, which is professionally repaired (last picture).
