Very rare rattan lounge chair designed by the Japanese Isamu Kenmochi in 1960 for Yamakawa.
Fantastic design with beautiful soft curved lines. It has a bamboo frame and rattan seat.
This chair can be found in the MoMa in New York and the Tokyo National Museum of Modern art. The Noguchi Museum in the US reissued this model in 2007, but this is the original version of the 1960s. Really hard to find!
The chair is in very good original condition. No damages on the rattan, just minor wear consistent with age and use.
