Le Corbusier Pair of LC3 Lounge Chairs Cassina 1928/1970s

Classic pair of LC3 lounge chairs designed by Le Corbusier, Charlotte Perriand and Pierre Jeanneret in 1928.
Cassina started the production of these chairs in 1965. These particular chairs are from an early production in the 1970s
The signature and serial number are engraved in the frame, the numbers are 3845 and 4014.
Ultra-modern when it was designed and still looks fresh nowadays. A true design icon.
The chairs have a black laquered tubular steel frame and still the original light grey leather upholstery, which is a stunning combination. The padding consists of variable-density polyurethane foam.
The chairs are in good original condition. Some normal traces of use due to time and usage. The leather is still good and soft, no damages, no craquelure. Little loss of lacquer on the frames.
Fantastic chairs with a nice patine.
