Orkney Child Chair Liberty London 1900s

Early 20th century child's armchair originated from the Scottish Orkney Islands, also referred to as Orkney Chair.
This chair was retailed by Liberty & Co in London, it is marked with their original tag.
Classic chair.
It is made of solid pine wood and it has a woven straw backrest. The wood is beautifully patinated.
The chair is in good condition with traces of use. The frame is sturdy and the straw has no damages. On the left upper corner of the backrest the connection from the straw to the frame is repaired. This could easily be made more beautiful if wanted.
