Poul Kjaerholm Pair of PK22 Lounge Chairs E. Kold Christensen 1956
Fantastic pair of PK22 lounge chairs designed by Poul Kjaerholm in 1956 and manufactured by E. Kold Christensen.
The chairs were bought by the previous owners in the early 1970 (early version). They are newly upholstered by Montis (a Dutch high quality furniture maker and leather specialist) around 15 years ago. The leather that was used is of very high quality, the same leather Montis uses for their own chairs and sofas (the previous owners were good friends with the upholsterer at Montis).
The chairs have a beautiful brushed steel frame and natural/cognac leather upholstery.
Classic design with a minimalist appearance.
The design won the Grand Prix at the Milano Triennale in 1957 and 1960.
The chairs are in very good condition. No damages. The leather is still very good with a nice patina. Little traces of wear on the frames.
