Ruud Jan Kokke 1st Edition High Slat Easy Chair Metaform 1987
Very rare high slat easy chair designed by Ruud Jan Kokke in 1987 and manufactured by Metaform.
This is the original vintage one, not the recent re-issue.
These chairs were produced by Metaform only on request, as the production was too costly. Not many of them were made, very hard to find.
Fantastic chair and surprisingly quite comfortable as well.
The frame is made of oak wood and the slats are from ash wood, all black lacquered.
Ruud-Jan’s work has been awarded several times nationally and internationally. A number of his designs are already considered classics and his iconic designs are included in the collections of the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam and the Museum of Modern Art in New York among others.
The chair is in very good original condition. Some slight lacquer damage which gives the chair an amazing patine.
