Ruud Jan Kokke Pair of Lounge Chairs Metaform 1986
Fantastic early pair of 'slat' lounge chairs, designed by Ruud Jan Kokke in 1986 and produced by Metaform.
This chair is the perfect example of Ruud Jan Kokke's passion for material and construction technology. Very sophisticated and elegant design.
It has an oak wood frame and ash slats.
The designs of Kokke are found in the collections of major museums, like the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam, Boymans van Beuningen in Rotterdam and the MoMA in New York.
The chairs are in very good condition. One chair is excellent. The other one had a tiny crack (not all through) in one of the slats on the seat, which is reinforced underneath, as visible in the last photo.
