Ruud Jan Kokke Slat Easy Chair 1st Edition Metaform 1986
Very rare high slat easy chair designed by Ruud Jan Kokke in 1986 and manufactured by Metaform.
This is the original vintage one, not the recent re-issue.
These chairs were produced by Metaform only on request, as the production was too costly. Not many of them were made, very hard to find.
Fantastic chair and surprisingly quite comfortable as well.
The frame is made of oak wood and the slats are from ash wood.
Ruud-Jan’s work has been awarded several times nationally and internationally. A number of his designs are already considered classics and his iconic designs are included in the collections of the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam and the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
The chair is in very good original condition. Minimal traces of use.
