TAKESHI NII PAIR OF NY FOLDING LOUNGE CHAIRS JAPAN 1958
Fantastic pair of 'NY' folding lounge chairs, designed by the Japanese Takeshi Nii in 1958.
This is a rare version with chromed metal armrests, usually this is in wood.
Functional chairs inspired by the simplicity of the director's chair. The chair has won numerous awards and became part of the permanent collection of the MoMa in 1970.
The chairs have chromed metal tubular crossed legs and blue fabric seat / backrest. Very nice colour combination.
The chairs are in very good original condition with little wear consistent with age and use.
