Free-standing double bookcase, 606 Universal Shelving System, designed by Dieter Rams in 1960 for Vitsoe.
Also perfect as a room divider.
It consists of:
- 2 aluminum poles including 4 uprights
- 4 wooden shelves, w: 0,90 ; d: 0,36
- 8 wooden shelves, w: 0,90 ; d: 0,22
The uprights are screwed on the poles. If you want to use the shelves on the wall as a regular wall unit, you can take the uprights of the poles and screw them on the wall.
The unit is in very good original condition, with minimal traces of wear.
