Mart Stam Sideboard UMS Pastoe 1948
Very rare sideboard, model C2-29, designed by architect and designer Mart Stam in 1948 for UMS Pastoe.
Mart Stam tought at the Bauhaus and was very important for the development of Dutch Modernism.
This sideboard was part of the very first collection of the Goed Wonen Foundation, that promoted a modern interior in the Netherlands. It is a historic piece in the heritage of Dutch design.
It is made of oak wood and has 5 drawers on the left and 2 doors with shelves behind on the right. It is marked on the backside with the old original UMS stamp.
This unique item is in very good condition, just little traces of use.
