Description

LE CORBUSIER LC6 DINING TABLE CASSINA 1928

LC6 dining table designed by Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret and Charlotte Perriand in 1928. This table comes from the 1990s and is manufactured by Cassina Italy.
One of the most iconic tables of the 20th century.
The idea informing the LC6 table lies in the distinction between the support and what is supported, in other words, the base and the table top. The seperation of the two parts is highlighted by the four intermediate structures. These both regulate the height and serve to maintain the due distance between the heavy base and the delicate lines of the table-top.
The base is made of black powder coated metal and it has a thick (13 mm) textured glass top. The height of the top is adjustable up to 5 cm.
The table is in very good original condition. The glass has no damages and hardly any scratches. The base has some normal traces of use due to time and usage
