Martin Visser & Joke van der Heyden TE22 Eva Dining Table 't Spectrum 1987
Rare modernist dining table, model TE22 'Eva', designed by Martin Visser and Joke van der Heyden in 1987 for 't Spectrum.
These tables were only made in very small numbers and are therefore very hard to find.
This particular table comes from Nel Verschuuren, who was the associate of the well known Dutch designer Kho Liang Ie. Most likely this one is a very early production, maybe even a prototype. The mounting of the table top to the frame is a bit primitive so to say. In later models this is more refined.
The table was made in 3 different versions: TE20 (Carol), TE21 (Sofie) and TE22 (Eva), and are also part of the collection of the Centraal Museum in Utrecht and the Museum Boymans van Beuningen in Rotterdam.
This unusual shaped table has a aluminum base and a blue cold painted top with die cut dot pattern.
The table is in good condition with traces of use, especially at the sides of the top.
