Beautiful square dining table from the 1970s.
The table was bought in the 1970s at Metz & Co. Metz & Co was an important Dutch department store that propagated modernist furniture from the 1920s and kept on doing so till they sadly went down around 2012.
Unfortunately neither the designer nor the producer are known to me.
The table is high quality made in solid black stained ash wood. The grain of the wood is nicely visible.
The corners are cut off and the legs are 90 degrees on this cut-off.
The top, except for the sides that are also made of solid black stained ash, is made of black laminated wood.
Heavy and firm table.
It is in good original condition. Some normal traces of wear due to time and usage.
