Sirfo side table designed by Alessandro Mendini in 1986 for Zanotta Edizioni (Zabro).
Zanotta Edizioni was formed in 1989, next to their regular collection, as a special collection of furnishing items verging on art and design. All items were handmade and in small limited numbers.
Avant-gardist Mendini is best known for his holistic postmodern approach, freely combining elements from various cultures and time periods.
This fantastic table, model 6520, has a 'goose' frame in natural colour sandblasted cast aluminum with yellow painted beak. It has a temperered plate glass top of 6 mm thick.
It is marked with the original Zabro label.
The table is not in production anymore.
It is in very good original condition. The glass is nice and without any damages. Just little wear on the chromed metal legs as you can see on the pictures.
