Wim Rietveld Panama Wall Lamp Gispen 1955
Classic wall lamp, model 4050/ Panama, designed by Wim Rietveld in 1955 for Gispen.
Arguably the best design he ever did, no doubt an iconic Dutch design piece!
The lamp is adjusted in every wanted position using the red key/spanner that's on the black metal wall plate, there are 3 hinges to do so. It has grey metal arms and a yellow aluminium 'Panama' shade in it's original paint. The white polyester diffuser is a new replica, the original one is almost always missing as it was very vulnerable.
The length of the arms is 55 and 45cm.
It is checked and in good working order.
The lamp is in very good condition. Minimal traces of use. The shade is still perfect.
