Alvar Aalto Tea Trolley 900 Artek Finland 1937/1970s

Classic tea trolley, model 900, designed by the great architect and designer Alvar Aalto in 1937 for the world exhibition in Paris.
This particular trolley comes from the 1970s and is manufactured by Artek Finland.
The tea trolley was inspired by the British tea culture, which Alvar and Aino Aalto had become acquainted with through their many travels, as well as by the Japanese woodwork and architecture they admired.
This striking trolley has a birch plywood frame and features black ceramic tiles at the top and a rattan basket next to it.
Versatile and full of character, what a beauty!
The trolley is in very good original condition with a charming patine. Some normal traces of use, no damages.
