Constant Nieuwenhuijs Wall Mounted Shelf Asmeta 1954
Very rare wall mounted metal sheet metal shelf designed by the famous artist Constant Nieuwenhuijs in 1954 for Asmeta.
These shelves were only made for a short period in very small quantities.
According to the Contant Foundation these shelves were designed for the exhibition 'Ons huis ons Thuis'. Gerrit Rietveld and Constant created a design suggestion for an appartment during this exhibition.
Very collectible item.
They were made in a few colors and in two sizes. This one is in light grey and it is the largest model.
The shelf is in good original condition, some normal wear due to time and usage.
