FRISO KRAMER BOOKCASE BIJENKORF ASMETA DUTCH 1953

Fantastic Friso Kramer bookcase designed in 1953 for the Bijenkorf (exclusive department store) and produced by Asmeta. Martin Visser commissioned Friso Kramer to design a simple shelving unit/bookcase for the Bijenkorf , where Martin Visser was working. The colours that are used were the colours of the Bijenkorf in the 50s. Very rare item! Clean modernist design, a real beauty! Light grey metal frame and dark blue and light yellow side and back panels that can be place wherever wanted. In vintage condition with wear on the shelves. And the yellow backpanel is a bit retouched, the right colour but a few light drips visible (is on the backside, so not visible when standing against a wall).
