SOREN HANSEN SIDEBOARD METZ & CO 1930s
Ultra rare sideboard designed by Sören Hansen in the late 1930s for Metz & Co.
Metz & Co was the leader in the Netherlands in the field of home furnishings and modern design. They worked with great designers like Gerrit Rietveld, Elmar Berkovich, Bart van der Leck etc.
This modernist sideboard (together with the whole interior) was purchased at Metz & Co in 1942, the invoice is still alive, see picture 14).
It is made of beech wood and has beautiful curved legs. On the left 2 doors with a shelf inside and storage for wine glasses. On the right a door with a shelf inside and a drawer. On the top it has a glass plate.
You will not find this rarity another time.
Except for a small repair at the bottom of a leg which is very well done and almost invisible, the sideboard is in fully original condition.
And this condition is good, just little usermarks. The original keys are still with it. They really took good care of this one..
