Iconic floor lamp, model Toio, designed by the Castiglioni brothers Achille and Pier Giacomo in 1962 for Flos Italy.
This particular lamp is from the 1970s and consists of a black metal base with the transformer and a hexagonal nickel plated stem (fishing rod) ending in a light source composed of a headlight car, 300 PAR56/MFL 120 V 300W. All the components are exposed in their original form. The hight of the lamp is adjustable.
The lamp is clearly based on the ready mades by Marcel Duchamps.
It is industrial, minimal, pure and basic at the same time. Such a fantastic lamp.
The lamp is in very good original condition. Just some normal traces of use.
