Iconic floor lamp or light object, model TC2, designed by Aldo van den Nieuwelaar in 1969 and manufactured by Artimeta Netherlands.
This floor lamp is from the TC Series and was designed in 1969. They were produced in very small numbers (only 127) from 1972-1974.
All the lamps in this series are innovative fluorescent lights in curved steel tubes and have strict minimalist geometric shapes. They were first presented at Gallery Swart, which represented important members of the abstract geometric art movement.
This TC2 lamp has an amazing shape and the base contains the transformer that's quite heavy so this is also the counterweight for this lamp. The pipe that holds the TL tube can rotate to direct the light source.
The lamp is tested and in good working condition.
