Prototype aluminum magazine rack, designed by Rob Parry in 1947.
We acquired this magazine rack (together with two other items) from the designer himself in 2017, who had it in his home all the time.
The authenticity certificate is with it. The rack is also depicted in the book about Rob Parry by Hans Ibelings.
There's only 1 of these racks, it never went into production.
It is made out of a single sheel of aluminum. The handle is covered with rope.
The use of aluminum in 1947 shows the designer's progressiveness.
Interesting piece for the collector or a museum.
This unique magazine rack is in good original condition. Some normal wear due to time and usage.
