Very nice pair of Revolt armchairs, designed by Friso Kramer in 1953 for Ahrend de Cirkel.
These chairs come from the first production series that started in 1958.
They have a U-profile steel frame and a ciranol seat, back- and armrest. One is in full black, which was Friso Kramer's intentional idea (=to make them in 1 colour) and the other has a black frame and the very rare pale yellow seat and back.
Together they make a lovely combination.
Classic Dutch industrial design.
The chairs are in very good original condition. Just a little loss of colour on the seats, giving them the perfect patine.
