Very rare pair of 'Staatsmijnen' chairs designed by Rob Parry in 1955 and most likely produced by Gelderland.
These chairs were made for the Dutch State Mining Company (nowadays DSM), a project Rob Parry did together with Emile Truijen. They were only made for this project and went never into mass production (except for a slightly different reissue in 1990). On the last picture you can see the chairs in their original habitat.
What makes this pair even more special is that they still have their original and lovely vinyl upholstery. Very collectible chairs, maybe even museum pieces.
They have a nicely shaped black steel frame with a curved seat and backrest.
Comfortable seating as well.
The chairs are in good condition. Some normal traces of use.
