Very rare lounge chairs, designed by Bueno de Mesquita in the 1950s and manufactured by Spurs for the 'Goed Wonen' foundation. The matching coffee table is with it.
De Mesquita was one of the initiators and chief editor of the Dutch 'Goed Wonen' Foundation in 1946, who promoted the new modern way of home furnishing.
The chairs are ultra rare, I've never seen them for real before and also online you cannot find them. They were probably made in very small edition. You see the table passing by every now and then.
The chairs are recently reupholstered with a dark grey/anthracite fabric. Also the foam is renewed. The chairs and table have a white bar steel frame. The table still has its original iced/clouded glass top.
Beautiful minimalist design.
All in good condition. The frames of the chairs and the table have some lacquer damage and the glass top has a very tiny chip at the corner of the bottom side.
