Charles Rennie Mackintosh Hill House Chair Cassina 1903/1970s

Hill House Chair, designed by the highly influential Scottish architect, designer and artist Charles rennie Mackintosh in 1903.
This particular chair is an early Cassina production from the 1970s, marked and numbered 1043.
The chair was designed for the Hill House project in Scotland. Its lineair geometric shape suggests the minimalism and abstract graphic techniques of Japanese design combining symbolic and figurative valves in a single distinctive piece of furniture with great stage presence.
The chair has a solide stained ash wooden frame. The cushion is newly upholstered with a nice green cotton velvet fabric. Also the foam is renewed.
It is in very good condition. Only little traces of use.
