Gerald Summer Plywood Lounge Chair Italy 1933/1998
One of the most famous plywood lounge chairs designed by Gerald Summers in 1933 for his own company in London 'The Makers of Simple Furniture'. The original 1930s chairs are museum pieces and extremely expensive, if available.
This is an official limited Italian re-edition from 1998 (only about 200 pieces were produced).
Iconic chair and important in design history.
It is made of single sheets of birch plywood, not a single screw or joint has been used.
A true 20th century design icon.
The chair is in excellent condition, as new.
