Elda lounge chair designed by Joe Colombo in 1963 for Comfort Italy.
The ‘Elda’ chair is one of the most well-known designs of Italian designer Joe Colombo. It is one of the first designs using the new material fiberglass in a great amount. The chair is named after his wife Elda.
The leather cushions are recently newly upholstered and hardly used since then. Also the foam has been renewed.
The white fiberglass shell is fitted with the dark brown leather cushions that support the sitter from all sides. It has a rotating base.
This iconic chair is part of the collection of various museums worldwide.
The chair is in very good condition. The leather is almost as new. The White fiberglass shell is looking beautiful and only has minimal traces of wear.
