Fantastic set of Lotus lounge chairs + rare ottoman designed by Rob Parry around 1960 for Gelderland.
These are from the 1st edition, so no reissues.
The chairs + ottoman are reupholstered with a beautiful eggplant wool fabric by Bute Scotland. Also the foam and the singles are renewed.
The chairs have a black lacquered wooden and nickel-plated metal frame and black lacquered armrests. The matching ottoman has also a nickel-plated frame and is adjustable in 2 positions.
These chairs from the 1st edition are quite rare and in my opinion the nicest of the Lotus Series.
Very comfortable seating, especially with the ottoman.
The chairs and ottoman are in very good condition. Some nice patina on the wooden armrests and little wear on top of the frame for 1 chair.
