Unique Triennale lounge chair, designed by Rob Parry in 1953 for Gelderland.
We acquired this chair (together with two other items) from the designer himself in 2017, who had it in his living room all the time.
He put his signature under the seating for me. And the authenticity certificate is with it.
The Triennale chair is already a very rare chair, but this provenance makes it really special.
The chair is still in completely original condition, unbelievable after about 70 years.
It has a solid black lacquered beech frame with nicely shaped armrests and brown faux leather upholstery, that gained a lovely patina.
Interesting item for the collector or a museum.
The frame is in very good condition. The uphostery is fair, some tiny damages at the the corners and 1 button is missing. The foam and singles are not good anymore.
Although the condition is not perfect, we prefer to keep this unique chair in its original state.
