Geoffrey Harcourt RCA Swivel Chair Model 130 Artifort 1961
Extremely rare RCA swivel chair, 130 Series, designed by Geoffrey Harcourt in 1961 and manufactured by Artifort.
It was designed as a graduation work at the Royal College of Art in London. In 1965 Artifort started a short production run of this model as part of the 130 Series. Not many of these are made and therefore this chair is very hard to find.
The chair is marked underneath the seating with the original metal Artifort label.
Stunning chair, it looks beautiful from every angle.
It has a teak plywood seating, cast aluminum 4-star base and a black metal stem.
The chair is professionally restored at the backrest, as visible in the photos. The chair is sturdy and ready for use. Some normal traces of wear at the base.
